![]() ![]() NOTE: If you have any trouble with these instructions, please contact me and I'll send you a CD with MYM12, the fully configured emulator, and all of the utilities pre-loaded so all you will need to do is Copy/Paste the contents of the CD to your hard drive. Of course, because MYM is running in an emulator, it may not run as quickly as it did directly in XP depending on the size of your data. I've also found that vDOS will run when DOSBox sometimes has problems. Overall, the experience of running MYM12 in vDOS is excellent and launching the shortcut from the Desktop will automatically launch all of the necessary "stuff" in the background (transparent to the user) and MYM12 will run just like it did in XP. I found vDOS to be easier to set up than DOSBox. Personally, I am using vDOS in Windows 10 to run MYM12. Lucky for us, there are a couple of FREE (although I hope you consider donating to their development team) emulators available for download, DOSBox and vDOS. In order to run MYM12 (or any other DOS program), you first need to run a DOS emulator to replicate the old DOS Prompt. So, you can no longer simply install and run MYM in a Command Prompt in Windows like you could in Windows XP. Microsoft removed the ability to run older DOS programs in the 64-bit versions of Windows. YES! Many of us MYMers are running MYM12 in the 64-bit versions of Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 or 11. MYM12 - 64 Bit Can I run MYM12 on my new computer that has a version of Windows 64-bit ? ![]()
